LECTURE

Friday, February 8, 2008
7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Dream Theatres of the Soul

Dreams are nightly dramas created just for us that depict the true condition of our souls.  Learning from our dreams guides us to health and wholeness.  Based on the book by the same name, this lecture is about how the five basic components of the psyche —  ego, persona, shadow, anima/animus, and Self — are symbolically represented in dreams.  With examples from her own life, Dr. Raffa will illustrate how working with our dreams in these five theatres is a pathway to evolving consciousness.

WORKSHOP

Saturday, February 9, 2008
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The God Crucible: Uniting God’s Masculine and Feminine Sides

Based on Dr. Raffa’s newest work, this workshop is about how we can enhance the evolution of our souls by uniting the opposites to create consciousness.  Creating consciousness is both a psychological and spiritual journey that is the authentic but little-understood basis for religion.  Dr. Raffa will highlight several pairs of opposites that are unnecessarily polarized in Western thinking and provide a variety of activities aimed at helping participants see and overcome their biases. The emphasis  will be on self-discovery, and there will be many opportunities for sharing and discussion. Attendees are asked to bring a journal or notebook in which to write.
